FILMING OF CHINCHON
At the end of January, filming took place for the short film "Chinchón", written and directed by Guillermo Guzmán and co-starring the young actresses from Alicante, Alejandra Lifante and Sara Ruiz.
The short film, produced by the Debod Films team, is defined in the director's words as "an urban comedy on a Wednesday morning." Chinchon It is the second work of fiction by filmmaker Guillermo Guzmán after Comfort, which featured selections such as the one from the Alicante Festival 2022.
The short film is currently in post-production, where final adjustments are being made to the editing, sound and original soundtrack. The release date of the short film is expected to be announced soon, as well as its entry into the festival circuit.
SYNOPSIS
Helena has rebuilt her life after an adolescence full of parties and excesses. One Wednesday at three in the morning, while she is sleeping, Irati knocks on her door after years without knowing about each other. Irati reminds her of a weekend they spent in Chinchón where the two made a promise soaked in alcohol and drugs: “We would do anything for each other, even bury a corpse.” The time has come for Helena to decide whether to keep or break the promise.
