Teaching, for me, is not about transmitting a fixed knowledge, but rather creating a space where we can continue to question ourselves together. And that is toact is exactly that. A constant process of learning, unlearning, and relearning. Starting from the not knowing, Looking at the familiar with fresh eyes, letting go of automatisms, incorporating new ways of inhabiting the everyday. As actresses, we work with human behavior: we observe it, we question it, we imitate it, we reconstruct it. In that sense, our craft is profoundly educational for ourselves and for others.
Throughout my career as an actress, I've worked on stages, sets, and classrooms, and I've had the opportunity to participate in both individual and group creative processes. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) has been a key tool for understanding how to communicate better: how to give feedback without blocking, how to identify patterns of human behavior (key to reproducing it, i.e., acting it out), and how to offer and explore new alternatives without judgment.
